The Henry H. Kessler Story

Over fifty years ago, Dr. Henry H. Kessler had a dream come true when he founded the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, a hospital dedicated to the belief that individuals with physical disabilities should have the opportunity to live full and active lives. His vision for rehabilitation medicine was simple: every option must be explored in order to maximize a patient's potential. Since the Institute's opening, thousands of patients have seen their dreams come true.

Dr. Kessler's experience as an orthopedic surgeon opened his eyes to the possibilities available to his patients. His autobiography, The Knife is Not Enough, details his travels to introduce the concept of rehabilitation to people with disablilities from all walks of life and all parts of the globe. The impact of his pioneering efforts is immeasurable.
